| Abstract | Debido a la explotación incorrecta del uso de tierra en la cuenca del Río Una, han ocurrido problemas de erosión y transporte de sedimentos que son depositados en el río, comprometiendo seriamente la cantidad y calidad de las aguas de la cuenca. El objetivo de este trabajo era delinear áreas de preservación permanente en el curso de agua de la cuenca de Itaim de 2923.21 has, situadas aproximadamente en la divisa de Taubaté, entre los municipios de Caçapava y Redenção da Serra. Con la restitución de técnicas aéreas y geográficas de pequeños formatos de información, se pudo identificar las áreas de preservación permanente que fue cuantificada a lo largo del curso del agua. Los resultados que se obtuvieron indicaron que 739.90 ha (25.31%) del área de la línea divisoria de las aguas deben de ser preservadas a lo largo de la red de drenaje. Se observo, también, que de las principales actividades desarrolladas en el área de preservación permanente el 414.32 ha (56%) estaban siendo utilizadas indebidamente, encontrándose en mayor ocurrencia pasto (31.86%), que se presenta en regiones fuertemente ondulado o montañosas. ABSTRACT: Due to improper land use practices in the Una River, problems with erosion and sediment deposition have occurred in the river bed jeopardizing the water quantity and quality of this river. The objective of this work is to delineate permanent preservation areas along the river within the Itaim sub-basin that has 2923,21 hectares, located in the border of Taubaté, between the municipalities of Caçapava and Redenção da Serra. Using small area interpretation and geographic techniques to obtain detailed information, it was possible to delineate permanent preservation areas, which were quantified throughout the course of the river. The results show that 739,90 hectares (25.31%) within the delineated area should be preserved throughout the drainage network. It was also observed from the main practices implemented in the permanent preservation areas, 414,32 hectares (56%) were improperly used where the major land cover is (31.86%), which occurs consistently over mountainous highly irregular topography. | |||
