| Abstract | Utilizando-se imagens LANDSAT, escala 1:250.000, tratadas visualmente, foram feitas a identificacao e a avaliacao da area ocupada com cana-de-acucar no Estado de Sao Paulo. Os criterios basicos para a identificacao da cultura foram a sua caracterizacao espectral, nos canais 5 e 7, e a sua variacao temporal, observada em diferentes passagens do satelite LANDSAT. Atraves dessa tecnica foi possivel mapear tanto a cana quanto a cana cortada. A area de cana-de-acucar obtida em toda a regiao estudada foi de 801.950 ha. Neste levantamento, o intervalo de identificacao correta calculado variou de 87,11 a 94,71. |
