Abstract | Esta dissertação tem por objetivo analisar alguns dos efeitos ambientais causados pela combustão de grandes quantidades de fitomassa nos domínios da floresta Amazônica, utilizando como principal meio o sensoriamento orbital. Durante a ocorrência do GTE/ABLE-2A, missão de coleta de gases traço e aerossóis na troposfera Amazônica realizada de 19/07 a 09/08/85, foram gravadas 25 imagens dos satélites NOAA-8 e 9, aonde posteriormente detectou-se inúmeras plumas de fumaça e queimadas de grandes dimensões. Após a localização das áreas mais afetadas pelas queimadas, tomou-se imagens TM/LANDSAT relativas a essas áreas e fez-se estudos de características espectrais de queimadas com os dois satélites. Através de dados de rádio sondagem executou-se analise de trajetórias de massas de ar na região para estudos de transporte de poluentes. Com os dados do GTE/ABLE-2A obtidos por meio de aeronave fez-se uma estimativa da emissão de gases e particulados produzidos em queimadas e seus efeitos a nível regional. ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to analyse, using orbital remote sensing as a main tool, some of the environmental effects caused by combustion of large amounts of biomass in the Amazon forest. During the GTE/ABLE/-2A, an experiment to measure trace gases and aerosols in the Amazon troposphere from July 19 to August 08, 1985, 25 images of the NOAA-8 and 9 satellites were recorded, in which many smoke plumes and fires of large dimensions were detected. After locating the areas most processed and the spectral characteristics of the fires and burned trajectory analysis of the emissions was performed in order to study the long-range transport of pollutants. Based on aircraft sampling data from GTE/ABLE-2A an estimate was performed of its amounts of gases and aerosols produced by their regional and global effects. |
