| Abstract | Este trabalho discute e implementa técnicas de apresentação de dados em geoprocessamento, com ênfase nos dados cadastrais armazenados num banco de dados espacial. A partir de uma analise teórica, onde os principais problemas relacionados com a visualização de dados geográficos foram revisados, desenvolveu-se um sub-sistema de recuperação e apresentação de dados para Sistemas de Informação Geográfica (SIG). O sub-sistema desenvolvido permite integrar a parte gráfica e os atributos descritivos, e enseja a associação de representações multimídia. Os resultados obtidos evidenciam que o entendimento da realidade geográfica e beneficiado pela capacidade de acessar novas informações baseadas em atributos contidos em banco de dados, bem como pela interação entre dados tabulares e gráficos proporcionada por interfaces. Mostra-se que a capacidade de integração e interação de dados de diversas naturezas, através da tecnologia de SIG, enriquece o poder de observação e analise. ABSTRACT: This work analyzes and implements techniques to present geographical data, concentrating on the access to cadastral data stored in a spatial database. The first part of the work includes a theoretical survey, where the main problems related to the visualization of geographic data are reviewed. The second part of the work discusses the implementation of a software module aimed at retrieving and presenting data for Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This system enables the integration of the graphical component of geographical data with its descriptive attributes, and aims at the association of multimedia representations. The results show that the understanding of the geographical reality is improved by the capacity to access new information based on attributes existing in databases, as well as by the interaction between tabular data and graphs available from interfaces. It is shown that the capacity of integration and interaction of data from varying sources, through the GIS technology, enriches the power of observation and analysis. | ||||||
