| Abstract | O crescimento vertigionoso da demanda de energia, em funcao do crescimento das areas urbans e industriais no mundo inteiro, incentivou a construcao de reservatorios para fins hidreletricas. Isto e especialmente observado no Brasil. Alem da geracao de energia, estes reservatorio sao utilizados para outras finalidades tais como: o abastecimento (domestico e industrial),a pesca (fonte de proteina e materia-prima para industria), a recreacao (iatismo e banho), a dessedentacao de animais, a diluicao e transporte de desejos ( urbanos, industriais e agricolas), a irrigacao. |
