AbstractResumo Fez-se um estudo visando a aplicação de Sensores Remotos a Fez-se um estudo visando a aplicação de Sensores Remotos á prospecção de minerais de zinco e chumbo na Formação Paraopeba do Grupo Bambui. Foi escolhida a área teste no município de Vazante, no Estado de Minas Gerais, O estudo constou de mapeamento geológico, compartimentação geomorfológica, com base em técnicas quantitativas, identificação de zonas mineralizadas e estudos geobotânicos. Os resultados da pesquisa mostraram que as fotografias aéreas branco e pretas e as transparências coloridas infravermelho foram eficientes no mapeamento das três unidades litológicas da Formação Paraopeba e identificação das zonas mineralizadas, respectivamente. As transparecias multicentrais I2s separaram com maior facilidade os dolomitos, que são as rochas condicionantes de mineralizações de zinco e chumbo. As análises estatisticas dos dados morfométricos obtidos de fotografias aéreas branco e pretas e cartas topográficas, discriminaram as três unidades litologicas da Formaçao Paraopeba, e permitiram a elaboraçao de uma compartimentação geomorfológica da área em tres unidades distintas: Relevo de Carstico, Relevo de Cristas e Relevo de Côlinas. Os estudos geobotânicos constaram de analises quumicas de solos e plantas e analise anatómica das plantas confirmaram que o nivel de toxidez na zona mineralizada, e um dos fatores que controla a distribuição da vegetaçao. Abstracts There was a study for the application of the Remote Sensing There was a study for the application of Remote Sensing will prospect for minerals of zinc and lead in Paraopeba Training Bambui Group. The test area was chosen in the municipality of Vazante in the state of Minas Gerais, the study consisted of geological mapping, geomorphological subdivision, based on quantitative techniques, identification of mineralized zones and geobotânicos studies. The survey results showed that air white and black photographs and infrared color transparencies were efficient in mapping the three lithological units of Paraopeba Training and identification of mineralized zones, respectively. The multicentrais transparecias I2S separated more easily the dolomites, which are the conditions of rocks zinc and lead mineralization. Analyses Statistics of morphometric data obtained from aerial photographs and black and white topographic maps, discriminated the three lithologic units of Formation Paraopeba, and allowed the elaboration of a geomorphological subdivision of the area into three distinct units: karst relief, ridges and Relief Relief Hills. The geobotânicos studies consisted of quumicas analysis of soils and plants and anatomical analysis of the plants confirmed that the level of toxicity in the mineralized zone, and one of the factors controlling the distribution of vegetation.
